VALLEJO, Calif. – Prior to the start of Saturday's Cal Pac Conference game at PEAC Main Gym, Cal Maritime's men's basketball program honored its two graduating seniors, Angelo Nicandro and Justice Cole in a pregame Senior Day ceremony.
Once action began, Embry-Riddle took an early lead, but the Keelhaulers were able to keep them within reasonable distance on the scoreboard entering the second half.
Prior to halftime, Lucky Hampton scored 19 of his team's 35 points, shooting 7-for-12 overall and 2-for-3 from three.
In a low scoring second half, Embry-Riddle only outscored CSUM by one, 29-28, but its halftime lead enabled the Eagles to secure a 76-63 victory.
Hampton ended the night with a career- and season-high 25 points. By canning four shots from three, Alex Maze added another 12 for the Keelhaulers.
Cal Maritime will return to PEAC Main Gym for Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. 2023-24 home finale against Pacific Union before ending the season with three straight on the road throughout the final two weeks of league play.
