PHOENIX – Junior guard Lucky Hampton frustrated Benedictine Mesa all afternoon long throughout Saturday's Cal Pac Conference game at The PHHacility, located in Phoenix, and posted his fifth 20-point game of the season by scoring a game-high 22 by canning 8 of 12 shots from the floor and 2 of 4 from three.
Including the Keelhaulers' season finale against the Redhawks, Hampton scored 20 or more in four the last six games of the year.
Jake Matteson and DJ Henry each added another 10 points, but Benedictine Mesa's three-point shooting lifted it to a 79-58 victory.
By sinking 10 shots from behind the arc compared to CSUM's 3, the point differential, when comparing made three-pointers, matched Benedictine Mesa's margin of victory.
Matteson and DeAndre Minor each collected a team-high five rebounds; the latter also ended his first season at CSUM with six points.
