VALLEJO, Calif. - The Cal Maritime men's soccer team suffered a 7-1 defeat to Marymount California in California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac) play Saturday afternoon at Bodnar Field.
The Keelahaulers fall to 0-1-1 overall and 0-1-1 in Cal Pac play.
In the 70th minute, Luka Bilavar drew a penalty kick after he dribbled his way inside the box and was pushed to the ground from behind. Freshman Jasen Nicolas stepped to the spot, forced the goalkeeper the wrong direction, and promptly buried a low shot inside the right post.

Paco Piscaglia scored twice for Marymount California (6-3-1, 3-0-1) as it ran its unbeaten streak to five games. The Mariners led 5-0 at the half and outshot the Keelhaulers, 39-7, on the day.
Cal Maritime goalkeeper Nathan Witte logged 14 saves. Bilaver and Jeremi Rousson led Cal Maritime with a pair of shots apiece.
Cal Pac competition continues next week for the Keelhaulers. They'll conclude their three-game homestand against Pacific Union on Thursday, October 7 at 5 p.m. before traveling to play Sierra Nevada in South Lake Tahoe on Friday, October 8 at 2:30 p.m.
