VALLEJO, Calif. – The last of five straight road games for men's soccer will take place Friday night in Aliso Viejo when Cal Maritime squares off against the Soka University Lions in a 5:30 p.m. Cal Pac Conference game at Lions Den Soccer Stadium.

As a reward for playing their last five games on the road, the Keelhaulers will open a home-friendly month of action at Bodnar Field on October 6 against Antelope Valley. Starting with that league matchup, men's soccer will play seven of its final nine games on campus.

Before October's Bodnar-friendly schedule commences, Cal Maritime will face a Soka squad coming off its first win of the season, which took place last Saturday at Providence Christian. Luis Barraza's hat trick was enough to hand the Sea Beggars a 6-0 loss on their home turf.

Friday's contest is the first between Soka and Cal Maritime since September 28, 2019, when these teams met on the Lions' home field.

This is the first of two Southern California trips on the Keelhaulers' 2022 slate; the other will take place in mid-October when they travel to La Sierra and Providence Christian — the only road games taking place next month.
