Five Keelhaulers named to NAIA’s list of men’s soccer scholar-athletes

VALLEJO, Calif. – Noah Anderson, Nikhil Hunter, Josh Kuiper Jasen Nicolas and Nathan Witte represented Cal Maritime on the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men's Scholar-Athletes list when the national organization announced this year's honorees.

This is the second time in as many seasons the NAIA recognized Kuiper, Nicolas and Witte for their academic excellence; this is the first Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete award for Anderson and Hunter.

In order to earn a nomination by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and attend one full year at its institution.
