Cal Maritime at the College Match Race Championship

After a couple of frustrating races, we finished the second stage in 10th place and faced University of Minnesota in a three race sail off. They won the first race but CMA came back to win the last two and moved up to 9th place overall. Although disappointed to not move on to the quarter finals, as the only team with a mostly freshman crew, we look at this as a learning experience and a warm up for next year when Cal Maritime will host the event at the St. Francis Yacht Club.
