Alicia Porter paces Keelhaulers at Simpson

REDDING, Calif. – Alicia Porter returned to action for Cal Maritime at Wednesday's Cal Pac matchup at the James M. Grant Center in Redding, California, and led all players with 23 points and 13 rebounds to collect her seventh double-double in a row and ninth of the season.

The junior forward also took full advantage of her trips to the free throw line by knocking down all but one of her 12 attempts.

Dylan Fulton also played a strong game at Simpson by scoring 12 points, her third double-figure total in her last five played.

Even though the Keelhaulers outscored the host Red Hawks, 13-11 in the third quarter, it was not enough to negate what took place in the previous period when SU scored 24 points, compared to Cal Maritime's 16, to defeat the visiting Keelhaulers by a 71-54 score.

Women's basketball's season-ending three-game road swing will continue Saturday at La Sierra — tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. — and open its Southern California weekend slate with a 1-15 overall and 1-7 Cal Pac record. Simpson will continue its season at 8-15 and 5-5.

Kayla Bonomini led a trio of double-digit Red Hawk scorers with 13; Breesia Northern and Kayla Gairns chipped in 12 and 10 points apiece.
