Porter's 32 points and 19 rebounds, both game highs, pace Keelhaulers at Antelope Valley

LANCASTER, Calif. – Cal Maritime remained within striking distance of Antelope Valley during Monday's Cal Pac season finale, but the Pioneers pulled away for good by outscoring the Keelhaulers in the fourth quarter to record an 81-62 victory inside the Pioneer Event Center.

This game also placed junior forward Alicia Porter on the precipice of rewriting the league's records book once again, thanks to another outstanding effort under the glass that helped the league's top rebounder record her ninth-straight double-double.

By collecting 19 boards, her second-highest total that trails only the league's new all-time single-game record of 26, set by Porter at Pacific Union on January 30, the junior forward notched her 11th double-double and 11th double-figure rebound total of the year.

Porter also entered Monday's matchup against the Pioneers with a league-high overall rebounds per game average, is on the verge of setting a new Cal Pac all-time single-season rebound record, and win the league's 2021-22 rebounding title thanks to her effort under the glass in Lancaster that pushed her overall season mark to 11.1 per game.

During league play alone, she averaged an impressive double-double of 23.7 points and 14.9 rebounds per game, both league-high figures.

Trailing by nine at halftime, Cal Maritime shot a blistering 56 percent from the floor, and hit half of its shots from three — an impressive feat since Antelope Valley played nearly twice as many people compared to the seven active players on the Keelhaulers' roster.

In the third quarter alone, Marissa Serrano scored all seven of points, Kai Kraus and Porter each scored six before ending their night with 14 and a game-high 32, respectively.

In addition to hitting 6 of 7 free throws, two of Kraus' three baskets were from three

Combined with Dylan Fulton's career-high 18 boards, five more than her previous best set three games ago in the Keelhaulers' home finale vs. Pacific Union, Cal Maritime's top two rebounders Monday night nearly matched Antelope Valley's team total of 44.

Cal Maritime ends the 2021-22 campaign with a 1-17 overall and 1-9 Cal Pac record, Antelope Valley is now 7-19 and 4-9 with Monday's result.
