VALLEJO, Calif. – A portion of the Keelhaulers' schedule that includes five road games in a row kicks-off this weekend in Southern California when women's basketball plays two games within a 20-hour timeframe. This quick trip starts with a 5:30 p.m. Saturday night stop at Life Pacific and concludes with a matchup against a familiar foe in Sunday's 1 p.m. game at La Sierra.

A busy few days of basketball wraps-up on Tuesday when Cal Maritime competes in the first of its two exhibition games when it heads to San Rafael to face Dominican Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The Golden Eagles were part of the Cal Pac Conference before switching to the Golden State Athletic Conference this past July.

Cal Maritime's Saturday night matchup in San Dimas is the first versus Life Pacific in the program's recorded history; this season marks the 23rd meeting against La Sierra with it winning 18 games. However, the Keelhaulers' last win against the Golden Eagles took place on the road when the teams met in January of 2019.

Life Pacific split its first two games by defeating Bethesda, falling to Simpson, and will host Stanton before facing the Keelhaulers. La Sierra played a scrimmage at Point Loma Nazarene last week and will square off against Cal Maritime in its inaugural regular season game of its season.

The Keelhaulers' week started on a positive note when Cal Pac officials awarded Aysia Santos its first Offensive Player of the Week Award of the 2025-26 campaign. The senior forward from Chula Vista, Calif., led the Keelhaulers in scoring with 17 and 20 points in games at Pacific Union and at home vs. Simpson. She shot 13-for-25 combined in her team's first two games with a combined shooting percentage of .520. 

Entering the weekend, no Cal Pac player scored more points this season than she and her 47; she also leads the league with 17 field goals made and ranks second averaging 15.7 points per game.
