Women's golf finishes sixth at ERAU Spring Invite

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – Following Monday's cancelled opening round due to snowy conditions at Antelope Hills South Course in Prescott, Arizona,  Cal Maritime completed a full round in each of the two following days to finish sixth at the Embry-Riddle Co-Ed Spring Invitational, hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

This was the first tournament of the season that the Keelhaulers competed as a team since it met the threshold for the minimum number of competitors. Prior to this week, cadet-athletes competed as individuals.

Tiara Supakit led Cal Maritime's contingent by finishing tied for 33rd, followed by Ambria Gee, who occupied 38th place following each individual round. Yanna Albarracin ended the team's second trip to Arizona, in the last three weeks, at 40th place with Natalie So capturing 41st place in her Keelhauler debut.

Embry-Riddle's Kaetlin Halseth won the individual title at 5-under; Ottawa University edged the host school by three shots to collect a team championship.

Cal Maritime will now enjoy a month-long hiatus since its next tournament, the Cal Pac Women's Golf Championship (hosted by Simpson) will commence on Sunday, April 10, in Redding.
