VALLEJO, Calif. - Following a Pacific Union goal scored in the sixth minute of Thursday night's Cal Pac Conference game at Bodnar Field, sophomore Mia Rathsack tied the score at one apiece with her 39th-minute strike, one of four attempts recorded by the Keelhauler forward throughout the night.
That tied score lasted until the 41st minute when PUC reclaimed the lead on the final goal scored by either squad before halftime.
When action resumed after the break, that 2-1 score remained untouched, with end-to-end action taking place throughout the opening portion of the half until the 63rd minute when Pacific Union scored the first of five late unanswered goals to pull away and defeat the Keelhaulers, 7-1.
With this result, Cal Maritime will head to Sierra Nevada for Friday's 11 a.m. Cal Pac road matchup at 0-3 overall and 0-2 against league opponents. Pacific Union will return home with respective records of 4-4-1 and 2-1-1.
