VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime will return to the pool this weekend for its next set of matches, action that will take place at home all weekend long when Saint Mary's, San Francisco, UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz visit PEAC Pool for the CWPA Tournament #2.
The Keelhaulers will kick-off this weekend-long tournament — admission is free for everyone both days — when it faces UC Davis Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The team will wrap-up competition for the day at 2:30 p.m. against UC Santa Cruz, at 2:30 p.m., before ending this event with Sunday matches vs. San Francisco (12:10 p.m.) and Saint Mary's in the 3:40 p.m. tournament finale.
After hosting UC Merced in a dual on January 27, CSUM now enters a busy portion of its schedule that includes a pair of tournaments in as many weekends. Once action at PEAC Pool wraps-up, women's water polo will have five days to prep for the CWPA's third spring tournament, hosted by UC Santa Cruz February 24 and 25.
Even though Cal Maritime dropped its season opener to the Bobcats, that contest provided crucial experience for a team that reported and participated in its inaugural team practices just a few weeks prior.
Against UC Merced, Meghan Abbott, Olivia Larwood and Ryan Wallace each scored a goal for the Keelhaulers.
