MERCED, Calif. - Junior goalkeeper Maddy Dack finished Friday's Cal Pac Conference road game at UC Merced with 30 saves, the fourth-highest single-game total in NAIA history and the most since 2016 when Life (Ga.) faced Georgetown (Ky.). That total also broke her previous single-game career high of 28, recorded at home against the same UC Merced team on November 9, 2019 — the last time these teams faced one another.
By scoring three goals by the 24th minute, the host Bobcats held a lead they slowly extended as this game progressed to secure a 15-0 victory over Cal Maritime at Bobcat Field.
Friday's contest was the last of four straight on the road for the Keelhaulers; they will return to Bodnar Field for the first time since October 7 in an 11 a.m. league matchup vs. Sierra Nevada. Cal Maritime will enter that series finale against the Eagles at 0-7 overall and 0-4 during league play with the Bobcats continuing their season at 6-5-1 and 4-0.
