VALLEJO, Calif. - Keirra Scollard celebrated her first game as a Keelhauler, on her birthday, by recording her first shot and shot on goal at the collegiate level, Amanda Carvalho placed her attempt on frame and Vonne Ng-Bader took one shot during Saturday's 2023 season opener at Bodnar Field.
Armed with a three-goal lead at the break, the Lions preserved their advantage and collected a 6-0 victory in the final pre-league tuneup for each paritipating team.
Cal Maritime wil lreturn to action on Friday, September 15 when it heads to Redding to square off against Simpson in its inaugural Cal Pac Conference game of the year. THe Keelhaulers will enter that matchup with a 0-1 overall record; Multnomah will return to Portland at 2-2.
In her first career game in goal, Mia Rathsack collected nine saves.
